  1. I went for The Last of us, with Watch Dogs and AC3 taking a close second and third respectively. Those games really seem to be giving me exactly what I want from games. Something new, or a system that I love with a huge overhaul. The Last of Us kinda falls under both of those. I would have said Beyond, but without any gameplay: I’m not going to reward Cage with any points yet.

  2. I too had to go with The Last of Us; while I don’t want to detract from the surprise awesomeness of Watch Dogs, The Last of Us went from preemptively dismissed to must preorder for me over the course of those few minutes of gameplay.

  3. I’m going to go a little out of the box and say my game of the show was Planetside 2. I was a big fan of the first and have been following Planetside 2 for a while and I thought they had a terrific E3, unfortunately its not on console so it didn’t get a huge showing.

Fanboy off now, The Last of Us was very nice and that combined with Beyond made me sit up and take notice of Sony again.

  4. Watch Dogs was a completely unexpected surprise, and it reminds me of why I loved E3 so much as a kid: getting so totally excited over really awesome-looking games. Not only is Watch Dogs visually impressive (the cloth simulation is excellent and the rain effects are actual particles; when you zoom in to aim, the raindrops stay stagnant), but the gameplay and environments were so unique and so fun to watch. People reacted to your actions realistically. I swear my heart skipped a beat during the gunfight when a random passenger NPC was trying to revive a driver who was caught in the crossfire. I really hope Watch Dogs is a hit.
