Poll: Most Anticipated May Release?

Well, we are starting to get closer to E3, where the game releases slow down even more. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still a few heavy hitters coming our way in the month of May. And by heavy hitters, I mean Diablo III. I’ve not heard much about this game, so that means it probably won’t sell well. I sure hope whoever the developer and publisher are survive the losses they are sure to take by releasing this game (Sarcasm, do not email me).

Making its return to our lives is Max Payne. The brooding, noir-y 3rd person shooter, now in the care of Rockstar (perhaps you’ve heard of them?) makes its debut this generation. After Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption success, many are curious as to whether they can work the same magic on Max Payne. It can’t be worse than the movie, right? Personally, I am sitting all of these games out this month. I am still working on Xenoblade Chronicles and as tempting as Diablo III, my PC can barely run Farmville right now. But enough about me…what’s on your radar?

Age: 34 PSN ID: Starkiller81. I've played games since before I can remember, starting with my dad's Atari and I haven't stopped yet. Keep them coming and I will keep playing them.

  1. I threw Diablo 3 down purely because out of the above choices it’s the most likely candidate for my attention. A few of my friends have been eagerly anticipating it so I may jump in with them.

  2. Been playng the Ghost recon Future Soldier MP Beta, if the single player and coop are as good as the MP it will be a day one buy for me.

  3. Not so sure where I stand on Diablo 3 after playing the beta, but since SWTOR has been satisfying my RPG hunger lately I’ll gladly wait to get it. This month my five year wait for Future Soldier will finally come to an end and I couldn’t be happier. Something about the tactical nature of Tom Clancy shooters scratches a gaming itch for me and I can’t wait to throw down on some four player co-op.

  4. Actually looking forward to Diablo 3, but I would hesitantly say Max Payne 3 and Dragon’s Dogma could be worth playing, too. I’ll wait to see what the experts say 🙂

  5. I voted for Max Payne because Im excited to see if Bullet Time is fun online or incredibly annoying. My most anticipated May release however is Minecraft for the Xbox, mostly to see friends who dont play PC games get a shot at it.

  6. dp – I played Dragon’s Dogma at WonderCon a month and a half ago and it was a really fun game. I really liked their combat system (most of the time if it has a sword, I find it boring – See: Oblivion) because there was a variety of attacks you can do with a sword, magic, and even shield combos. I found my experience with it challenging but not overly difficult, and a lot of fun.

  7. Wow, not as much love for Mr. Payne as I thought. The first game changed 3rd person shooters forever! Bullet time, diving, good story, lets get real here. I can’t effing wait to play the 3rd one.
