Battlefield 3 Returns With Fault Line Part 2

Continuing in the grand tradition of posting videos only I care about, I bring you the next installment of the “Fault Line” series of trailers for Battlefield 3. Previously on Fault Line, we saw our squad of Marines take the fight to some insurgents in a parking lot, but this time around they’re up against a sniper with a fifty caliber rifle. How do you deal with such a threat? Heavy ordnance, of course. Have a look at Fault Line Part 2: Good Effect on Target:

It’s still amazing to me that this is apparently an Alpha build, because the whole thing is really impressive. I know that I’ve said that quite a few times about this game, but for real, take a look at those animations. Part three will debut on the 30 of March, so come back then for the newest episode! What do you guys think of this trailer?

  1. Awesome. The animations definitely look amazing. Just a little bummed that the dude playing didn’t “get into character” really, he was way out of cover. I would have been super into it and followed the AI teamates as if my life depended on it!

  2. The downside of god-mode.

The animation of your teammate taking the launcher off his back and rolling it to you were really well done. I keep reading that EA Sports helped with the body physics in the Frostbite 2 engine, and the physicality really shows.

  3. This is going to be amazing. Defiantly getting for the PC so I can take control of full graphics capabilities. Looks SO GOOD. People were complaining saying it wasnt really different from MW2. Look at the animations people. How is that anything LIKE MW2? They plant their feet, their bodies are so fluid. I think people just want to shizzile on games like this, especially the fanboys of the Modern Warfare series. I love MW2 better than BO and I think B3 is going to blow them out of the water. Just look at the graphics, the gameplay, look at that explosion!

I am super excited for this game.
