GamerSushi Asks: Games Least Interested In?

Homefront

Here on Gamersushi, we are some nosy people, always asking you what you’re playing, what you want to be playing and what you’re going to be playing. But on the other end of the DO WANT spectrum lies DO NOT WANT: the games that you honestly couldn’t care less about it. You know, the ones that get a lot of hype and discussion, but if someone paid you, you would probably not even play it.

For me, this Homefront game is one of them, but I’m keeping an open mind should any reviews make it sound worthy. Also, I don’t really care about Prototype 2 at all, despite any apologies/improvements the developers may make. Crysis 2 is another that rates high on the “meh” meter and sad to say, I don’t have high hopes for the next Mortal Kombat.

What about you? What games that are coming out this year are so far off your radar that they might as well be invisible? COME AT ME WITH COMMENTS!

  1. I bet there are tons that ARE off my radar. But you know I find it more interesting to see which games with the massive hype that people are just not interested in. I think its better to say “I dont want to play portal 2 because of ____” rather than look at “Homefront looks dumb”

Homefront is one thats low on my radar too, just because its not got really any hype. BUT.

    Dragon Age II
Honestly I have no real interest in this mega game. Never beat the first one, never got 50% through it. It just really wasnt my type of game. And DA2 is HUGE in terms of the hype and anticipation. Its one of the biggest games this year. But for me, thats one thats actually low on my radar.

  2. Star Wars: The Old Republic. Sure, it’s supposed to be a great game, and it’s a Star Wars game, but honestly, I’m not into the MMO’s, let alone how the game itself actually looks.

  3. Homefront, but mostly because of the dumb marketing. Fake North Korean protests? Dumping balloons into the ecologically fragile San Fran Bay? Bleating on and on about a story that MW2 did first and probably better?

Crysis 2 is kind of teetering in the middle for me. The multiplayer is just CoD with power armor, so I’ll wait and see what reviews say about the campaign (although I did just watch Battle: LA…).

  4. I am actually interested in Homefront. It has been getting pretty positive hype and reviews.
SWOTOR doesn’t interest me, Portal 2 can wait until I’ve got the more important games out of the way (I will of course play it but it’s not as high on my list as, say, LA Noire), Crysis 2, Prototype 2… There’s plenty. The new COD also does nothing for me as do the Black Ops map packs.
Also, Mitch? Homefront’s story seems way more impressive than you give it credit for. I’ll not say too much as I’ve yet to play it but their website has a damn impressive backstory. The marketing was very dumb though.

  5. Dragon Age 2 couldn’t interest me any less. I was excited for it, then when I played the demo I was reminded of how much I didn’t like the first one. I beat it, sure, but was bored the whole time.

I hadn’t even heard of Homefront until I saw a space reserved for it at Blockbuster today, but it seems like it will be pretty good. Other than that, I don’t really care for Prototype 2 either.

  6. My only hype towards Crysis 2 is that the story fails because I don’t like their lead writer at all and I think he needs to learn a thing or two about actually writing a story (and let’s face it, Crysis’s story wasn’t exactly thrilling). Other than that, I just saw the demo as CoD with armor and I hated that a SCAR took down a super soldier with about 4 shots.
Homefront looks different but I haven’t payed any attention to it just because it’s not what I typically play. Especially when other interestingly fun titles like Bulletstorm are starting to change the FPS market.

Other than that, I can’t wait for Portal 2 and Mass Effect 3 😀

  7. I’m actually really pumped for Homefront, and I haven’t seen any commercials or hype, just game play footage and I can’t wait. I don’t care for Dragon Age 2 or Crysis 2 either, but I’ll probably end up playing the latter.

Just give me my Deus Ex already =(

Mitch how could MW2 do it better when MW2 didn’t have a story? And this is not about how the Koreans invade the US, it’s about being in a resistance after that has happened. And I would have to say Dues Ex is that for me, I have no idea what it is or what it’s about.

  9. MW2’s overall story was terrible, but the actual invasion of America was pretty cool. That’s what I was referring to. I really doubt that Homefront’s plot twist is that a random General organized the Korean invasion to recruit more soldiers.

  10. Mass Effect 3… there I said it

Its gonna take another badass trailer to play during a playoff game to get me to start thinking about it.

As for Homefront, I probably wont get it but I will give it the benefit of the doubt story wise…topping MW? That shouldnt be too hard if it really is from the guy who wrote Red Dawn.

  11. I cannot wait to pick up Homefront from Gamestop this afternoon!

…And that’s where it ends. None of the “big” games really interest me this year. LA Noire doesn’t look that fun to me, and I’m a HUGE fan of Rockstar. Portal 2 is kinda “meh”, I’m just getting it to play with friends and see if my PC can still run a good game. I built it two years ago, so we’ll see. Gears 3 I will only play for the story, and only because I played the first two. I played the DA2 demo yesterday and it just isn’t my type of game. Crysis 2: FUUUUU! That’s how I felt when I played the beta. I won’t be going anywhere near that game.

This might not be too bad of a year for my wallet (for once)…

    AWWWWW MITCH! Spoiler!!! LOL

Doubt Ill play the game but still haha.

  13. definitely the old republic, had to make it an mmo and ruin the franchise for me. That was the only thing left that star wars had in its favor. other than that I am not really interested in any other games except for skyrim.
