Poll: Which Unannounced Sequel Do You Want First?

While we generally know the lists of titles available in the coming months, including Spring of 2011, we’re still unsure about what all lies in store for next year. There’s plenty of room for surprise when it comes to gaming release dates, and anybody’s guess is as good as mine.

That being said, I started thinking about a list of sequels that we haven’t really heard any rumblings about in a while, with no idea as to when they’re going to come. This “unannounced sequels list” includes: Half-Life 2: Episode 3, The Elder Scrolls V, Counter-Strike 2, Grand Theft Auto V, Mass Effect 3 and Uncharted 3. Really, looking at them, that’s an incredible line-up, and I wouldn’t be sorry to see all of them drop in the same year, say 2012 or so.

It’s actually hard to decide which one I’d want to tackle first, so I thought I’d let you guys decide. Go.

Which do you want to play first?

  1. I hope I’m not the only one waiting for CS2 I sure did play the hell out of source and I don’t mind doing the same if it ever comes out.

  2. I have to state that I like all these games, you’re making our life hard here Eddy. That being said, I’d pick Uncharted 3 or Mass Effect 3. Those franchises are 2 of best experiences in gaming I’ve had in a long time and honestly only these 2 can raise the bar for other games. Since I can’t pick both I’ll go with ME3. I think Valve realized that they can make a lot of money out of the other IPs. Portal 2 is now their pride and glory. I’m starting to get a little bored with GTA. How come GTA4 got a perfect 10 from most of the game websites? The game in its essence is basically the same on a new gen tech, ok its a great game but surely not perfect. The Elder Scrolls V will be a lot of fun as well. I’m surprised you mentioned Counter-Strike 2 in this poll. I’ve played a lot of CS:S(this is the reason I found TLW and Life of a Turret a few years ago making me instantly a fan) on a semi-pro level so I’ll be looking forward to that as well.

  3. Nice comments, guys. Seriously, the more I think about this, the more I think it’s not too far of a stretch to think that several of these could land in 2012. Add Bioshock Infinite to that, and could it be possible that we’ll have one of the greatest gaming years ever?

  4. CS:Source was CS2. It even says so on Gametiger when you search (doesn’t it?)

But Half-Life 3 or ep3 (whichever comes first) needs to be any gamer’s most anticipated!

  5. I guess it would depend on what you mean by greatest gaming years ever. If you mean lots of great games then maybe; but it would not be if you don’t have the time and money to spend on the new games.
I personally would love to have a new TES game before all the others. I don’t understand why you would want to get another CS. How would you change or improve upon it?

  6. Definitely Mass Effect 3 for me. I just finished my second playthrough of Mass Effect 2 followed by Lair of the Shadow Broker and now I am more excited than ever. Another TES would be good but I just need more Commander Shepard.

  7. Mass Effect 3, followed millimetres behind by Half life 3/episode 3. I’m definitely much more excited for ME3 but HL3 is the one I think needs to come out sooner, it’s been long enough I think. And you’re right Eddy, if all of these games dropped in the one year, gamers all over the world would explode from the sheer collective awesome.

  8. Uncharted 3. Even if it were half as good as 2 the it will still be amazing. Follow that up with The Elder Scrolls and I shall add Mirror’s Edge 2 (that IS unannounced, right?) and I’ll be very happy.

  9. Mass Effect 3 all the way, baby! Lair of the Shadow Broker got me all hot and bothered for it.

Second would be Uncharted 2, followed by Grand Theft Auto 5, and by that I mean Red Dead Redemption 2.

  10. What about Call of Duty 19: Modern Warfare 12 HD Remix: The Russian Connection: The Legend of Price: Soap’s Awakening?

    XD
I’m not going to doubt that an Activision person has seen that, and added it to their list of “To do’s”.

They already have by trying to put it on the Mac and making it more “user friendly” More if a downgrade though
