The Rock Band 3 Team Reveals the Set List

While we’re on the topic of leaks, it seems that a couple of days ago some unscrupulous visitor to GameCom 2010 decided to grab a cell phone video of Rock Band 3’s set list and share it with the world. Well, Harmonix has decided to strike back with a rebuttal video, and…wait, in the background, is that what I think it is?

  1. Well, I can say that if the list wasn’t up to par, I would still get the game, because the tracks are compatible from the second game.

  2. While this is not a bad list per se, it just didn’t have the tracks that make me go “they have that? I have to play that!”.

Or…I’m just disappointed that i’m not getting any more Nine Inch Nails songs to play. Two song packs aren’t enough for me. Poets of the Fall mentioned working on bringing some of their songs to RB in their Twitter some time ago, but that was like a month or two ago. Sadface. πŸ˜›

  3. Anthony, to quote the respected music scholar Gene Simmons, Radiohead is boring.

Just kidding, although Gene did say something to that effect.

I think “My Iron Lung” was the only song available for RB2. Maybe they’re not too hot on the concept? Of course, bitching about RB hasn’t stopped Jack White from turning away their money for White Stripes songs.

There’s a lot of good stuff here (Roxette is one of my all time guilty pleasure bands) and some clunkers (hey, lets all hang out and play “Imagine”…wait, why is everyone sleeping?), which is about par for the course with RB.

The bad thing for me is that I have RB2 for the wii and I don’t know if they’ve announced if you can transport the RB2 tracklist to RB3 on the wii. I’d like to just get it for ps3, but I’ve already got the wii instruments and a couple dozen tracks downloaded to the wii’s sd card.
