Modern Warfare 2 DLC Trailer is Stimulating

As we are all well aware, Infinity Ward is still giving us a map pack for their immensely popular online shooter on March 30 despite their current trouble with parent company Activision. Featuring five maps, two of them remakes of the popular Call of Duty 4 maps, Crash and Overgrown, this add-on will cost an astounding fifteen dollars. Take a look at the newly released trailer for the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package:

How do you guys feel about this? I’ve moved on to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and I don’t think I’ll go back to Modern Warfare 2. The game was really addictive for a while, but the land-slide of bugs and glitches killed my enthusiasm. Who here is still playing this game, and are you going to pick up this up?

  1. I totally agree with you Mitch, MW2 lost its luster with the balancing issues and glitches. BF is glitch free and for the most part well balanced, so I think I’ll stay with that. Not to mention the MW2 pack is 15 bucks, while the BF one that comes out on the same day is free.

  2. Storm looked a lot like that one other map in MW2, i cant remember its name. I stopped playing MW2 because my copy broke and i didn’t like it much anyway. I enjoyed the demo for BFBC2 a lot more, but i bought AC2 instead.

  3. It’s funny how everyone is going ape shit over how “insanely overpriced” the Stimulus DLC is. It’s 5 maps for 15 bucks. I suppose people are comparing it CoD4’s DLC which was 3 maps and Killhouse (which I got to play once online, geez) was 10 bucks, but still, it’s not a ridiculous amount. Still, I’m not wasting my money on this DLC.

Aaanyway, I just hate MW2’s online. I loved Campaign and Spec Ops, but not MP. I might even sell it. It’s full of bullshit balancing issues and overpowered weapons and killstreaks that make the game a boring deathfest for me. Believe, I’ve tried to use “pro” tactics, but there’s only so much I can do to defeat a noob toob, sniper, and all those other cheap-bitch-ass nubguns. At least in BFBC2, people work together more.

  4. The glitches are gone but in my opinion the game is still unbalanced. Almost very game I’m in we either roll the other team because of streak prizes or we get rolled.

  5. Just recycle a BFBC2 comment for me.
I trired playing MW2 again and (literally) pushed all the wrong buttons.

  6. seems like everyone’s forgetting activision’s ripping off infinity ward. it looks good, but I’m not giving them a cent until infinity ward is given back the rights to modern warfare.

    That is all.[/quote]

    The L337 players overcome all.

    Won’t matter.

  8. I’m really disappointed by this map-pack. Overgrown? C’mon why Overgrown? Although I’m sure many won’t agree, my favorite map was Vacant. If they brought that back I would buy it solely for that map. As for the new ones; boring. I’ve found the majority of the MW2 maps to be terribly boring. And I believe it’s downpour you were thinking of from the first MW. It seems as if IW has lost their creativity because I am not impressed what so ever. Sorry. I will most likely trade this in for BFBC2 as well. The demo was enough for me to play for hours on end even though I had MW2 sitting on my dresser.
