GamerSushi Asks: What Should Anthony Play First?

As some of you may know from comments I have left, I am anxiously awaiting Christmas Day for the 3 games I asked my fiancée to get me for Christmas: Uncharted 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Christmas is my traditional time of year for getting a bunch of games and I am very much looking forward to playing them all.

But which should I play first? I plan to play a little bit of each one that day, to whet my appetite and see what I feel like playing, but I wanted to get the opinion of my adoring public. Should I jump right into Dragon Age and potentially be there for a month or two? Or Modern Warfare 2, where the danger lies in getting sucked into the online component and not playing anything else for months on end, as happened with the Call of Duty 4. Or should I play Uncharted 2 since that one is the shortest game and then Eddy and I can do co-op together and give him a reason to put his PS3 back online?

Decisions, decisions…you make the call: GO!

Age: 34 PSN ID: Starkiller81. I've played games since before I can remember, starting with my dad's Atari and I haven't stopped yet. Keep them coming and I will keep playing them.

  1. Just so you know Modern warfare 2 is shorter than Uncharted 2, and Uncharted 2 really is a game you need to stop and appreciate things 🙂

Oh, I was referring to the online part of MW2. I played it for a year before touching the single player of CoD 4

  3. I think you should always play the single player campaign before jumping into multiplayer… so my suggestion is to:

Finish MW2 Single player in about 5 or 6 hours, don’t touch the multiplayer til later.

Then move onto Uncharted, and then save Origins for the end so you can really sink your teeth into it. Then, when you get bored of the ‘epic quest’, you can hop online and shoot some badguys in mw2.

  4. Modern Warfare 2 all the way! great game. Great story also. The ending is Epic. Multi player is really fun.

  5. Yeah, I like Julez’ suggestion. Having played all 3, that’s probably the best way to go. I think Uncharted 2 is the best of those 3 games, so it’s best to get MW2’s campaign out of the way first. Then, Uncharted 2 (but savor it). Then, alternate MW2 multiplayer for when you’re tired of the occasional grind of Dragon Age’s long-ass quest.

  6. Play Uncharted 2 after a while as I’ve got plenty of things to play too, that way I can be your 3rd co-op partner! Lol.

  7. hm, Modern Warfare 2 would be fairly epic, but Ima go with Dragon Age Origins. ya know, the one that no one has heard of 😛

  8. Modern Warfare 2. But Play ALL the singlepayer before you do Multiplayer. That way, you don’t get stuck doing MP without expeirienceing (SP?) the awesomeness that is the singleplayer campaign.

  9. However I know that me and at least 3/4 of my friends that have Modern Warfare 2 are bored of the online after however long it’s been, it just runs out of fun a lot faster than its predecessor I guess, well for some people.

  10. I hate to be “that guy” but i really didnt like the MW2 campaign. Also, i might just be spreading a rumor, but i heard that PSN isnt going to patch out the Javelin glitch. I also sort if gave up online. But Uncharted and Dragon Age:Origins are great, although id play Uncharted first, because Origins is such a massive undertaking.

  11. If you value your family and social life, stay away from Dragon Age. That game almost literally cost me a semster in university, no joke, that shit is a drug haha.
