Leaked Left 4 Dead 2 Trailer Hits the Internet

Valve has bad luck with leaked videos, don’t they? First Meet the Spy got leaked, and now the opening cinematic for Left 4 Dead 2 has been snuck onto the internet via some digital skulduggery. Like the original opening movie for Left 4 Dead, it introduces the player to a whole bunch of game mechanics (what the new infected do, melee weapons, that type of stuff), while wrapping it all in an entertainingly gruesome package. Take a gander:

Not looking so much like a simple expansion now, am I right? I’m greatly anticipating ripping into some zombies with a chainsaw myself, but what about you guys?

  1. HALLZ. YEEAH. SON. I am psyched. I think I’ll like these new characters. Damn good trailer; Valve has proven themselves to be awesome again.

  2. Wow, this wasn’t so far on my list of need-to-get games like Assassin’s Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2, but now it is.

  3. Hm. They’ve already managed to impress me LESS with these characters than the first crew somehow….

Looks like fun on Late-Night-LAN… Other than that, really not interested.

  4. Man, it looks to me like a zombie clone of the first one with new duds. I don’t see myself getting this until it’s on sale for 50% off.

The original L4D is already more than enough for my zombie-killing needs.

  5. I doubt the Meet the Spy video was truly “leaked”, I think it was first revealed like that just to fit with the whole Spy thing. As for this? I dunno, but I don’t think Valve has bad luck with videos being leaked.

  6. The Meet the Spy video was released to the public early via a mistake on a Valve employee’s part. He marked the video as public instead of private, and some hawk-eyed surfers grabbed the video and distributed it. This qualifies as a leak to me.

  7. Alright, so I didn’t know the truth behind it. I never said my thoughts on it were fact, did I?
