Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Trailer Has Style

In case you hadn’t heard, the new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow game is being made by Kojima Productions. I think it’s definitely good to let them tackle something that is not Metal Gear for a change, and so far the results are looking pretty cool. The Lords of Shadow trailer definitely has some cool style to it, and count me pumped for Patrick Stewart’s voice, which instantly makes everything exponentially more awesome. What do you guys think?

  1. EPIC!!!1!!
That was really cool, esp since that one boss fight reminded me of shadow of the colossus. Also Patrick Stewarts voice makes any game go up to the next level, and it was the only reason I bought Oblivion. <— Hyberbole

  2. Very cool. The music was especially stirring. It kind of amused me that Patric Stewart’s voice came in, and then his name appeared on screen, as if the trailer was saying: “Damn right it’s Picard.” It was also nice and short compared to the Peace Walker trailer that came out of Gamecon. 9:00? Really?

However, as soon as the main character mentioned his wife being “Marie”, and him wanting to bring her back to life with the mask, I couldn’t help but think of Dom from Gears 2. I’m weird like that.

  3. The sheer awesomeness almost brought a tear to my eye. Finally a Castlevania that usurps Symphony of the Night as my favorite? We’ll see.

If nothing else, Kojima has the campy dialogue down. To me, that’s just as much a part of the experience as the Gothic setting and epic music.

  4. Oh my Jews, I’m getting this. It looks like it’ll be a God of War-esque game with some Castlevania goodness mixed in.

  5. name – crap
    weapon – whippy goodness
    vampires – questionable

Only thing i ask is why is he fighting the belmonts they are the vampire hunters which are tied in a forever bloodshed against dracula.

I thought they closed this series off with aria of sorrow finishing draculas castle and begins the story in lament of innocence.

how many other castle vania games have people played?
