Yet Another Modern Warfare 2 Tease

More teasers? I get that Infinity Ward wants to hype their game, but come on. Oh well, I guess I can’t complain too much when I gobble up every bit of info that they throw at me, ravenously looking for more.

While the world premiere of Modern Warfare 2 is still just a couple of days away, it seems that a new teaser is out tonight exclusively on GameTrailers. So, kick back, relax and enjoy the 28 seconds of teasing, 10 of which we’ve already seen.

  1. Yup ; still can’t wait. I love short teasers over any 2 minute trailer. They don’t need to prove anything; its the same game we loved; and better than WaW cause its continuing in the future. Couldn’t be happier.

  2. Im glad Infinity Ward is slowly giving fans info. I just hope they dont think all the teasers/trailers will make much of a difference in sales, everyone and their mom is gonna get this and people who arent wont likely change their mind. They can have a 20 sec video of Optimus Prime break dancing and it wouldnt hurt sales… in fact that might sell more

I actually think the music from this teaser is the same as the track from the Revenge of the Fallen teaser, so it would fit.

Nothing too concrete on this game yet, but yep. Looks like a Call of Duty game. I did read that they turned off infinitely respawning enemies, though.

  4. I didn’t mind the ‘infinitely respawning enemies’, it felt like I was really fighting a war rather than small pockets of resistance that I can just sweep aside with a press of the trigger.

It was actually Treyarch that brought in the infinitely respawning enemies. Good thing that Infinity Ward didn’t adopt it, though – it’s kind of a cop-out, gameplay-wise.

Yeah, but even in a real war, they don’t fight using clown cars.

  7. OMGASM! I hope the full gameplay trailer is worth these two teasers.
Anyway, I’m totally pumped for MW2! Because it wasn’t obvious!

  8. i wonder if they’re using the same engine… looks the same… ’cause if they are, i’m hopeful that they changed the HUD… It was new and fresh in CoD4… routine in Cod:WaW… and if it uses the same hud, i dont think I’ll like it too much then…

  9. Reminded me of Rainbow 6 Vegas in a way. Hope its as good as the last one in multiplayer. The story in the first MW was good, but I wont lie. I never finished it. I kept doing a part wrong and got frustrated and then everyone got the game so it was on to multiplayer. (Lots of guys were all “WHAT!?!?!? You didn’t finish it!!!?!?”) I SAW the ending though. I watched another guy do it. Looked pretty fun.

This one I bet is good too 😀

  10. @Anthony: I will agree that it’s not good design but it didn’t hamper my experience. I don’t know…there’s something about non-respawning enemy fights in CoD that seems weird if I can just waltz in, throw some fire down and win without breaking much of a sweat. On non-Veteran difficulties, anyway. Eh. It’ll probably be better without spawns, I just didn’t have an issue with it.
