Alpha Protocol: Obsidian Evolves Trailer

A few weeks ago, I posted a trailer for Alpha Protocol, the stealth/action RPG from Obsidian, creators of KOTOR 2. That trailer pretty much blew me away, and their new trailer for the game, in which Obsidian discusses its evolution, keeps me interested as well. I have to say that I’m really curious about how this game is going to come together in a way that mixes story, RPG elements, and spy tactics.

So far it looks promising. Keeping my eyes on this one for sure. What do you guys think of what you’ve seen?

  1. I still don’t fully trust Obsidian after how KOTOR II turned out. This does look good, but then on the surface, so did KOTOR II. It sure seems like they give themselves unrealistic deadlines and their games suffer for it.

Like I said though, it looks good, but I’m not holding my breath. I’ll wait ’til I hear some reviews when it comes out.

  2. Looks very interesting. I really think FPS-RPG’s are the new genre, since they allow for a lot of customization and reach out to a large audience.
I know my mom will love Alpha Protocol because it’ll basically be like Bourne.

  3. I think this could be neat. Never seen an RPG that takes place in modern times like that. It could hold some really good potential.

  4. I’m with Bit on this one, though or me Obsidian lost my trust with NWN 2 (after the original, witch was incredible, the second was a major let down).
Also, am I the only one who sees this as a MGS4 wanna be? (something about the guy walking bent over double reminded me of a less awesome snake :S)
