The prolific times of the year for video games show up around February/March, August, and October/November. As we come up to the first big season of the gaming year, there are quite a few notable titles looming on the horizon. Halo Wars, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, and Street Fighter IV seem to round out the list.
Right now, I’m actually really looking forward to both Halo Wars and Killzone 2, which couldn’t represent more of a polar opposite in terms of fanboy and genre appeal. While I’m not sold on Resident Evil 5, I’m still anxious to actually play the game proper, and Street Fighter IV is just nowhere on my radar, even though it looks fun. I guess I’m just not that into fighters anymore.
Which of these titles are you guys looking forward to? Which could you care less about? Go!

Halo Wars! I downloaded the demo, its so simple and pure, but not to simple. Its a very fun and well made RTS for the XBOX. True, RTS games can never truly be as great on a console as on a computer, but this is very good!

For real. I am going to buy Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 with Xmas and Birthday money (thanks again for the gift card, Eddy) and also Dragon Quest V for the DS.
Then I am going to rent SFIV and then not play Halo Wars cause I don’t have a 360, but I will play the demo at my fiancee’s cousin’s house on Saturday.
So…I think I am covered,lol.
I played the Halo Wars demo and I enjoyed it to a fair degree. I have not played any other RTS games much, so my opinion is untainted – other people are usually whining about the controls suck or how other games did it better. :/ I liked it, so once I can scrape up some more cash I’ll see what I can do. It’s gonna be a slow year for us 360 owners. Just gonna have to wait for Valve to finally give us that update for TF2…
I think if a few friends went in on SF IV and two of those nice Madcatz Fightsticks it could be a good time.
KZ2 is the only thing I’m looking forward to. I’ll get RE5 at some point just not straight away.
Maybe Halo Wars… Its fun… But I’d rather wait for Starcraft II.
If I had a PS3, I’d definitely buy Killzone. Sux that I only have an xbox360.
I am looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins. The site promises a 2nd half 2009 Release…
And of course Halo 3:ODST in Q4 2009.
