GamerSushi Asks: Your Gaming Weekend

vcIt’s a special weekend here in America. A sacred one, if you will. You see, there’s this thing called football, and apparently a big showdown is happening tonight that we are all going to stop and marvel at. By the way, go Steelers.

However, the weekend is also the time for gaming. So what games have you guys been working on lately? Me, I’ve been doing some Left 4 Dead versus still, but the gaming gem I’ve been having a blast with lately is Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3. How nobody is talking about this game, I have no clue, but it might be the best PS3 exclusive out there, I’m thinking. It is also the best Strategy RPG I’ve played since Final Fantasy Tactics, and quickly becoming one of my favorites this gen.

Seriously, if you haven’t heard anything about it, it’s great. Beautiful art, addictive gameplay, a great step in innovating the SRPG genre. So what about you guys? What are you playing?

  1. I also hear that the Transformers 2 teaser will premier during the Super Bowl…Only reason I’d watch it, if I had cable.

Anyways, I’ve been playing a few things here and there. The Dawn of War II demo, the Resident Evil 5 demo, and, shamefully, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

Dawn of War II is pretty good, as is Resident Evil. Web of Shadows I’m actually enjoying, for some strange reason. I’m a big Spider-Whore, so I enjoy almost anything Spider-Man related. (Except for the Clone Saga. Gross.)

  2. Me being the trophy whore that i am I’ve been trying to get a platinum in Fallout, but i keep getting distracted by sidequests! It’s Oblivion all over again! But tommorow I’ll be slaying zombies in the RE5 demo! Unless i finish DLing Valkyria Chron demo. Is it as good as you say Eddy?

  3. I’ve been playing Team Fortress 2 the whole weekend… The Scout update is coming (you better talk about it here…or else I’ll spam “NEED A DISPENSER HERE!” and start ordering Sham-WOWs until you do…joking 😛 ) and I have practice harder and harder… I want the new unlocks so bad! (Scout is my favorite class)

  4. I’ve been working on CoD:5 (PC. Taking so long cause dang thing freezes up every 5 minutes), Fallout 3, and of coarse;
    Meby some AudioSurf too.

  5. GAH! Curse you Valkyria Chronicles for being PS3 exclusive! How I long to get VC, but it’s just not worth spending $400 for one console for one game. I suppose I’ll have more reasons to get a PS3 in the future, but I digress.

Anyway, to answer your questio–FALLOUT 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some Left 4 Dead with my friends when I’m not ruining my online life with FO3.

  6. Hm, Valkyria Chronicles is exclusive for only ps3? I thought I saw something that being on 360 and even the PC.

Well anyway. Go steelers FTW, Polamalu For evar!

  7. i watched the game from auzzie land it was great

anyways i ave been playing condemend 2 bloodshot btw great game really fun

  8. L4D co-op, very little versus. The versus system is so unbalanced in L4D I can’t hardly take it. Also, I’ve been hitting the Gears 2 pretty hard.

  9. Saints Row 2 and Dragon Quest IV were my big ones. World at War arrives today from Gamefly, so thats shooting to the top for a bit. Die campers!

  10. I spent a lot of my weekend playing Fallout 3. Re-loaded the DLC and got through all of it on very hard difficulty. Fucking snipers…

Then I actually sat back and enjoyed some good old Halo 2 glitches and Halo 3 online.

    PS, There was no fumble.

  11. Well, As most of you know, there is some DLC for Portal. Weeeell if you guys arent aware, all those maps are available for the PC version here:

I finished it yesterday and its definetly worth the play.

ON another fantastic Portal note, Portal: Prelude is finished! If you havent played it, definetly snipe it. more information here

Im almost finished that one. Definetly a challenge and worth the play.
