The GamerSushi Grading Rubric

As you know, we’ve started to review games here on GamerSushi. Every now and then, we’re looking to post some of our thoughts about the games we’ve beaten, and then rating them based on our experiences. Hopefully, you’ll find this to be a well thought out feature that we do, and trust us, a lot of thought has gone into the process.

Here’s a handy chart that will let you know what we mean by our letter grades of games. Props to our bud Nick (the great bearded one) for coming up with this. I kind of heart it alot. Click on the thumbnail to view it.

Let us know what you think!

  1. I like it – it’s a simple, straightforward scale that doesn’t leave us puzzling over why the game was a 9.2 instead of a 9.3. I’m somewhat surprised at the lack of an ‘S’ ranking, though…

Thats what I like about it too. Why would you buy a 9.2 game over a 9.1?

  3. S – from games that use letters to give you a score. It just means above A. I think it’s mostly a Nintendo thing, actually.

    Advance Wars?

  5. The S grade being greater than an A is a Japanese thing. You kind of get used to it.

F should be “A most epic fail.”

  6. That S thing can stay over there, lol. I first came across it in Devil May Cry and was getting A’s on all my levels, looked online and saw there were S’s….WTF?
