Call of Duty World at War Teases us with Jungles

Another trailer is out for Call of Duty: World at War, this one featuring sneaky foes hiding in secret jungles, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. This game released this week a little under the radar, considering how much hype was centered around it, but so far I’m only hearing great things. In particular, I hear the Pacific levels are wild and epic, with some huge clashes.

Has anyone played this? Tell us your thoughts!

  1. Oh yeah? You feel like it’s better? So far I’m hearing fantastic things… I’m really tempted to go out and get it over the weekend.

  2. i was in the multiplayer beta… its dissapointingly kinda the same as COD4.. the hud… they even kept matrydom… but as COD4 mp was so fun, u bet ur sweet ass COD5 was fun… and with the addition with tanks, its even got a lot more variety. I wish i could get it.. but my parents are kinda steamed.

  3. yeah, cod5 looks good. matyerdom was cheap though, disappointed that they kept it. i love the game. i can’t afford it but i’m on my way after winning a $10 bet it was se in WW2 not veitnam.

Martyrdom is annoying, but once you are aware of it, its not a problem really.

  5. i beg to differ. in a big shootout, i can hardly hear it and then boom! some “noob” earns a kill for dying. i hoped they would drop it. it’s a fun perk and i used to like it but now i, like many others, have begun to despise it.

to me this raises an issue, what is noobish? maybe you guys could write an article on that.
martyrdom is noobish anyway you slice it but are perks like juggernought? used by a sniper then yes, but used by a shotgun class, when you need to get close to do some damage?
