Lord of the Rings: Conquest Trailer

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a game much like Star Wars: Battlefront, only in the LOTR universe that we know and love from J.R.R. Tolkien. It’s coming out in early January 2009, and features a bunch of multiplayer options to place you and some other dudes in the shoes of hobbits, elves, orcs and apparently, much bigger foes.

I got to have some hands-on time with this game at PAX, and it was pretty enjoyable even at those earlier stages. It reminded me a lot of Battlefront, and that’s never a bad thing. Check out the trailer. Anyone interested?

  1. Yawn. Too late in my opinion. This game would have been cool as a simultaneous release alongside Return of the King, but now it just seems a little dated.

Besides, it looks like a semi-upgraded Battlefront 2 engine(which it probably is).

Sorry to anyone who’s on the hype train for this game, it just seems a little lackluster.

  2. Well, sorry to be contrary, but I am pumped.

Battlefront was awesome and now with better online play, this game could be even better. Count me in!
