Halo Wars: Field Trip to Harvest Trailer

A new trailer has surfaced for Halo Wars, finally giving us a glimpse into what specifically the story is going to be about, besides Halos and/or Wars. For those of you who don’t know, Harvest was the point where the Covenant first attacked humanity, and it seems that they must return their for some mysterious purpose before the events of Halo proper.

So, is anyone else but me excited about this game? I mean, I’m not jumping out of my chair for it, but I’m still keen to see more about the mythology of the franchise.

  1. Well, that pre-rendered cut-scene certainly looks nice.

No, just kidding, I am pretty excited for this game. It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything new about Halo Wars, so it’s a treat to get a peak at the story. A pre-Halo 2 Arbiter?

The writing seemed kinda weak-sauce though. “I care not for you little life.” Really?

  2. Seriously some of the best computer graphics that the Halo world has ever seen. Seriously, I’m glad the movie got shut down. Live action would be a failure, they should have tried to use THIS kind of CG instead.

    I want that dudes hat….
Im skeptic about this game. I am a big fan of the books and Im afraid they will slaughter the storyline with all these extra games. I dont want them to beat halo into submission, or make the books not line up with the games.

Seriously though I will get this game. I think almost every Halo fan will. Same goes for whatever they are cooking up now.

  3. Yeah, I agree with Sean. A live-action Halo wouldn’t be as good as a CG one.
Anyway, I’M PSYCHED FOR HALO WARS. And the elites look different than in the Original Trilogy (rofl). From what I saw on that Arbiter – btw, it’d be cool to have a NEW Arbiter – the mouth isn’t just the mandibles. Whatever, I’m such a Halo nerd. lol
Cool stuff, and beautiful graphics for a Pre-Rendered Movie.
