Top 5: Games I Want For Xmas

It’s time for all the good boys and girls to make lists for their loved ones for Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever holiday festival you choose to celebrate. I celebrate Christmas, so this is a Christmas list. If that bothers you, don’t worry. I eat poorly and will likely die an untimely death. Now, on with the countdown…er count up, since I start with #1.

  1. Fallout 3- Judging from the picture, was there ever any doubt? I loved Oblivion, so this is a no-brainer. I have never played anything in the Fallout universe, but Bethesda don’t make bad games, yo. And the graphics look amazing, the humor is humorous (imagine that) and it looks like it will take a long time to beat and I love that.
  2. Little Big Planet- Sackboy! Only the fact that I am already overwhelmed by the possiblities of this game is what kept it from being #1. I hope I am creative enough to make the kind of levels that I know I can imagine in my head. This may be the kind of game that changes gaming forever and I am not even close to exaggerating.
  3. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia- I love Castlevania. And I love the DS. So everytime they release one of these games for the DS, I will be there, whip in hand to snatch it from under the tree and deftly place into my DS on Christmas morning and start killing Dracula. (Yes, I know the heroine in this one doesn’t use a whip, shut up.)
  4. Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen- As a Final Fantasy fan, is it any surprise that I love DQ, as well? I played the first one for the NES way back in the day, when I was 7! I don’t know if any of you played DQ8 for the PS2, but you should have, because it was awesome. And I love old-school RPGs, so this is a must have for me.
  5. Bioshock-I have a PS3. Not an Xbox 360. So missing out on this was very difficult for me. But now, thanks to higher development costs, I get to play the game of the year. Last year. But I get to play it this year. So yay for me.

Honorable Mentions: Resistance 2-I liked the first one, but I traded it in, so this will likely be a gamefly rental first.

Chrono Trigger DS- my PS1 copy still works fine, so I am going to wait and see if this is different enough to warrant a buy. Otherwise, its another rental.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest- I loved Star Wars: Battlefront and if this is anything like it, coupled with online play, I will buy getting this for sure. But not before I read some reviews first.

So that’s my list. What games are you wanting this holiday season?

  1. Dang, you scared me with that picture there. Is that a fast zombie?
    Well anyway, my list is:

    1 lil big Planet

2 left 4 dead (cause it’s a new zombie game)

    3 mirrors edge

4 xbox 360 (How should I call my self a gamer if I don’t have one?)

there is no 5th because I couldn’t decide from all these ‘awsome’ games.

  2. If you want to try some old school Fallout, you can download the first one from gametap for free, but only if you want to deal with all the hassle that comes with trying to set up gametap, but after playing it for a while all the crap I had to go through just to start it up was worth it. I’ve already got my copy of fallout 3 reserved and will be promptly picking it up the day it releases.

  3. 1. Gears of war 2 (On reserve)
    2. Fallout 3 (On reserve)
    3. Fable 2
    4. Prince of persia/Far cry 2
    5. Guitar hero: World tour

I must’ve gone over that list 20 times in my head by now.

  4. 1.COD5
    2.Fallout 3
3.Little Big Planet (assuming I dont get it before Cmas)
    4.Mirrors Edge
5.(Leaving room for my usual ‘no wait, i want that instead routine’)

  5. Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, And Sonic Unleashed. Please, please, please, let that at least be decent.

As long as the Werehog parts are tolerable, I think it may have a change to revitalize the Sonic franchise.

Oh, that and Dark Brotherhood. BioWare ftw!

  6. Oh yeah, I never posted my list.
    1. Fallout 3
    2. Left 4 Dead.
    3. Mirror’s Edge
I really can’t say that I’m just terribly excited for anything else. There are a lot of games that look interesting and I might check out but haven’t really been paying much attention too, or won’t even be out in time for the holiday season (Ace Attorney 5, Turnabout Prosecutor, Resident Evil 5) And of course there’s CoD 5 which I’ll probably skip because it’s not being developed by Infinity Ward. The two new sonic games look interesting especially the rpg one for the DS.

  7. 10 Games I want, but, of course, won’t get all of. Gears 2 FTW!
    1. GOW2
    2. Fallout 3
    3. Little Big Planet
    4. FarCry 2
    5. Fable 2
    6. Left 4 Dead
    7. Resistance 2
    8. Mirror’s Edge
    9. Dead Space
    10. SFIV
That my list. (anoying french accent) Hakuna Matata Bitches! lol
