Downloadable Content Unleashed!

Kotaku is reporting that the best-selling The Force Unleashed will be getting some pretty cool DLC in the fall. The content, which has no specific release date as of yet, will be released for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 before the end of the year.

The content pack, unpriced as of this writing, will have new skins and a new Campaign mission set at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. The mission will feature Darth Vader’s appentice, Starkiller, on a quest to learn more about his father and fight his own inner demons.

The new skins will allow the player to play as Luke Skywalker, circa Return of the Jedi from the image provided, Obi-Wan Kenobi (no word on Old Ben or Young Ben, yet) Ki-Adi-Mundi and Kit Fisto. No word on whether these new skins will have their own fighting styles or abilities, but judging from the picture above showing Luke holding a red lightsaber in a very un-Jedi like way, I doubt it. Darth Maul, who is already in the game as a boss battle, is nowhere to be found, either.

  1. Well not quite. The Temple in the PS2 version is a mini-version of what will be in this, from what I hear.

Apparently, they’re going to keep adding levels like this, which is kind of dumb, considering that the complaint I hear most often from people is that the game is too short.

  2. See, DLC that should have been in the game originally is one of the things that pisses me off about online gaming nowadays.

That and releasing buggy games and patching them 2 days after released.

  3. I hate DLC like this, why? Because I want it. So? I HAVE TO PAY TOO MUCH FOR IT!!

DLC is something I agree but disagree with. Its great developers can add, but by golly we shouldn’t have to pay. Sure they arnt working for free, but I payed for a full game.
