GameStop Woes

I don’t know about you guys, but almost every experience I’ve had with a GameStop store has been a negative one. At this point, between GameFly and MicroCenter across the street, I’ve pretty much been able to avoid stepping into a GameStop for months now, much to my delight.

Here’s a new video from a former GameStop employee, calling himself WhistleBlowerZero, done in the style of Zero Punctuation, the fast-talking game reviewer. It’s awesome.

  1. Yeah, I thought this thing was awesome. It’s really sad that they are currently beating the other video game chains senseless. I wish there was a better place to trade used games.

  2. I have stopped going to gamestop.
I hope that video opens some eyes.

as for used games I’ve been pointed to this site a few time
    http://www.liongames.com/default.cfm
I have never sold them any games so I don’t know how that aspect is but the buying part is so far been good to me.

  3. I hate Gamestop, this video is awesome. The guy’s voice isn’t well suited for that style of talking, but he pulls it off well enough.

Gamestop sucks, if I ever want to get pissed off, I can always trundle down there and see a bunch of ghetto fab know nothings buying crappy games.

One dude, with a tattoo on his neck was telling his trailer trash girlfriend/sister how AWESOME Haze is.

    I literally laughed out loud.

  4. Sadly Eddy and the Vid are right, gamestop basically consumes other game stores. Not one can compete, they are all smashed.

  5. Another bad thing about gamestop is when you buy used games, the game makers and companies get NONE of that money.

So if you want them to keep raising the prices of your video games, shop at gamestop.

  6. Yeah, it really is pretty bad, especially buying used games for things like Beyond Good and Evil, etc, that never got the attention they deserved.

That was half my point with the Madden Curse post, as well.

I have traded in some games before, but now I really don’t like doing it. If anyone ever wants to swap games, let me know!
