Neo-Geo on the DS

I’ve never been one to do much homebrew action. But I know that some people out there are into violating their own electronics like a prison cellmate, so I thought I’d post this guide I came across over at DS Fanboy about playing NeoGeo games on your Nintendo DS through NeoDS.

Metal Slug X and King of Fighters, anyone? You can find the actual guide at RacketBoy. Video demo below.

  1.
Guys heard of “R4″(Revolution 4 DS) before? It looks great, I don’t know if you can put homebrew in it tho.
The m3 which i have is a version of it..in a sense.

Yes the R4 can play all home brew or most home brew games and apps.

As well as movies, music, and books 🙂

The cd that comes with the device contains a movie converter which turns most if not all types of video format into a video format called .dpg, this format can be read by the ds media application called “Moon Shell”.

Oh cool. I saw someone using it before, and he had almost all the games in one card, with some vids.

  3. I have an R4…best purchase EVAR!!! The 2GB MicroSD was also a wise purchase. I originally got it for homebrew..so yes, Homebrew is absolutely possible. But the emulator support that is out (NES, SNES, Genesis, and now Neo Geo!!) it’s a very good device indeed.
